Marathon Trauma Survivor Story

After the bomb blast at the Boston Marathon that took most of his legs, Jeff Bauman began his own long and painful journey.

While watching this inspirational video, I thought about the infamous Maya Angelou quote: “I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it.” Filled with hope, Jeff states: “Whenever something bad happens people need something else to look to, to make it better.” This is a wonderful video telling the story of a trauma survivor, by Josh Haner of the New York Times.
