SHE: a multimedia suite on sexual violence

Dear readers,

I will be a panelist after the powerful dance performance SHE.

The best way to describe SHE is Eve Ensler’s THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES meets Ntozake Shange’s FOR COLORED GIRLS. It is dance, it is music, it is about sexual violence, and it is storytelling about healing from trauma and pain. When it premiered in April It featured women who were survivors of sexual violence, in their childhoods, as adults, or both. Since then the show has been reworked into a full book written by Jinah Parker. The show now features 4 actors portraying survivors in addition to 6 dancers that continue to drive the story through movement
